What's in a Name
When NEHS chapters are chartered, they are required to select a name for the chapter significant to the school and community. The most intriguing are those chapters that honor a person by using that individual's name—we know there are interesting "backstory narratives" about the importance of that person in the school or community. We'd love to hear those stories!

Pago, Pago, American Samoa and Stuttgart, Germany
What do these two locations have in common? Schools in both locations recently became charter members of NEHS! The amazing growth of the Society is inspirational—we now have over 1,230 chapters—and suggests that the love of English and all its myriad subsets is alive and well in the younger generation. Thanks for making this "family" so powerful.
