February Flash Fiction Challenge—Drabbles
Given the busy schedules that fill the school calendar in November and December, we adjusted the Flash Fiction Writing Challenge schedule. We have moved the due date for Drabbles, stories in exactly 100 words, to February 1, 2021.

Advisory Council Members
NEHS Advisory Council members, all volunteers who lead very active NEHS chapters, support the work of the society, making recommendations, awarding scholarships and grants, selecting Common Readers, reviewing budgets, and representing NEHS in their regions and nationally. All are eager to support advisors and are particularly willing to help if Chapter Advisors need guidance concerning development of bylaws, membership selection, activities, induction ideas, or fund-raising.

NEHS is currently seeking applications for a Midwestern and Far Western Region Advisory Council members whose terms would begin in August of 2021. Active NEHS Advisors from those regions with demonstrable leadership skills are encouraged to contact NEHS Director Dave Wendelin, for further information.
